Default Snow Tires

I have a GT with 19 inch wheels. I am looking into getting some snow tires for this winter season. Does anyone know what ratio tires I should be looking into and if I will be okay with 16 or 17 inch tires? Planning on getting the rims included if that makes a difference.

CX-5 is fairly new. I would go to dealer and see what they recommend. When I bought my Mazda there was 16, 17 and 18 inch rims available. Dealer had snows for 16 inch rims. You have to clear your caliper. The smaller the rim the cheaper the rims and tires. They should be able to give you rim size and tire size.

I will be looking to do the same thing. I wonder if the wheels will need TPI sensors? For some cars these can cost $40 or $50

Found this at tire rack

This vehicle relies on the wheel speed sensors in the hubs to monitor the tire pressure differences. Although no tire sensors are required, a TPMS reset is required so the vehicle learns the new tire overall diameters.

Some wheel information

Offset: 45mm
Backspacing: 6.33"
Bolt Pattern: 5-114
