Default Are there any new member postting rules here?

New member here, and my replies to threads are being pended and flagged as needing moderator approval. I've read through the forum rules and can't find any special rules related to new member posting, or what I could have omitted during registration. And there's no information about this in my profile that I find either. I might be failing to see something that's right in front of my nose, but obviously don't know what it is. I also don't have permission to PM, so I'm unable to contact the mods/admins about this either. So I would appreciate it if someone can tell me what it is that I need to do, in order to get this issue fixed. TIA

Its normal just post about 5 and you should be good to go.

Most forum detail new members guidelines and rules this forum I think assumes that forums have been around for so long now that most know common sense things about what to do and not do as well how there are limits to new member activity to reduce spam.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM

Please tell us all about your MAZDA!

I am not a moderator on this forum, but I am on several others, and as a general rule, your first posts will be flagged for moderator approval if you post a picture or a link in your first several posts. Once you reach some arbitrary number of posts (typically between 5 and 10), then you can post pictures and other content without moderator approval.

Thanks for the reply, but IMO it's not common sense when replies are being held up for 4 days, and there's no way to find out why that's happening. I have no problem with forum rules, provided I know what the rules are.

I see you have 3 responses since you joined of which one was on the day you joined? Looks like you are good to go!
For future reference you can always find a moderator to contact concerning forum problem you may have.

Well, given how invasive spammers have become, it isn't common sense to allow folks to post content until they've proven themselves to be actual contributors to any given forum. You may not agree, but if you were participating on a site without such controls in place, there would literally be hundreds of spam posts per day from brand new accounts. I say this because I have literally banned over 10,000 brand new spam accounts just in the last three months on one site alone.

If you read my post again, you will clearly see that I already had agreed. All I'm asking is that the 5 post rule be spelled out for all new members to see. Not an unreasonable thing, IMO.

You realize at least 3 of the other top MAZDA forums are the same as this one and there are at least 2 other car related forums that also do not allow new member to post until moderators have determined they are not spam and nowhere in the joining does it say this on any of the forums I just mentioned.

Actually this forum has very few guidelines when I compare my experience with many other forums and takes the common sence approach regulating member response. Besides you are on board and running...so post away
