Ticking noise when cold (CX5 2015 Sport/GX)
Hello fellow CX5 owners,
I recently discovered this forum in hopes to find help with a problem I started to have with my 2015 CX-5 Sport with 85K+ miles. I bought it used, and at the beginning I had 0 complains until 4 months ago where it started to do ticking noises when starting it in the morning, but then fade away as the car gets hotter. Heres a video;
I've done regular services since I bought it, it's always under a garage, I always let it run a couple of mins to get to ideal engine temperature.
I checked with my local mechanic who suggested to replace then entire timing chain kit, and then a friend who owns another CX5 had a similar problem and suggested to do an oil flush because probably the previous owner used the wrong oil before I got it (10w-30, as I know this one uses 0w20 or 5w30 as per the manual).
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
