Default Walk away lock interimittent

2016.5 GT

I just discovered the walk away door lock and really like it. However, I've noticed that it sometimes does not auto lock. For those times, there's no initial beep, and walking away, the doors don't lock.

Anyone else using walk away lock and experience this?

So I think I've found the process. Stand next to car, close door, wait for beep, then walk away.

I found that if someone still has a door open when I leave the car with the key the doors don’t automatically lock. I also found that if I open the trunk the doors don’t lock when I walk away.

Let ot us know if this covers all the scenarios where the doors don’t lock for you.

I've noticed it a few times at gas stations. I don't know if it's interference from all the metal pumps around, or what. I've learned to listen and hit the lock button if needed.

Just me getting out of the car, no other doors open.

Just need to close the door and stand there until I hear the first beep. Then walk and listen for second beep. That seems have resolved it for me. Was just a matter of understanding the requirements.
With the rash of unlocked cars getting broken into around here, this is a nice feature.

Thanks all!
