Properly done the drill holes should be capped and sealed. Also you dealer should have told you that "ANY" modification that is installed outside a MAZDA dealership should a warranty concern, could be denied by MAZDA direct regarding any warranty claim. This really goes without stating with almost all auto manufactures.
