Default Will leaving a USB plugged in drain the battery?

I have a USB cable for my phone plugged into the USB phone port in my car (underneath the armrest, driver side) but my phone is not plugged into the other side. Will leaving it plugged in like this still draw small amounts of power to the cable?

Nope. It’s been exactly that way in my 6 since day one. Never been a problem. Nothing electronic in the cable; just connectors and wires.
