My navigation screen, when just in a "view" mode, is very dim, hard to see screen during most daylight hours, sun or cloudy day. Adjusting the contrast and brightness does no good. Tilt does not help either. The screen does brighten when in full navigation mode.

Anyone else had this problem? I have 2006 v.1. Would 2008 v.1 help? Any other ideas?
