CX-7 Passenger Lock Issue

CX-7 Passenger Lock Issue
Hi Everyone,
My Partner and I have a Mazda 2009 CX-7 and for a while the passenger door has not been unlocking properly. You can press the button but the lock only half engages and will not unlock the door completely.
Normally we can get it to unlock my mashing the button on the drivers side door. It has opened before after pressing it a few times, but this is pretty rare.
Anyway, I decided to take off the door card to see if there was any way of being able to identify the issue. I've removed the first door card, and the inner skin that holds all of the cabling, but cannot seem to see a way of triggering the lock actuator itself.
Is there a way to remove the door lock actuator without the door being open? Or is there another way to manually trigger the lock?
I'm really hoping someone may have had this exact same issue and has a solution.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
Regards,
Jesse
