Anyone know how to adjust fog lights on grand touring?

 

First off you will want to take the trim around the foglight loose. Just pull straight outward and will pop right off. From underneath loosen the splash shield to allow access up inside. There is a 10mm bolt on the bottom that you need to remove and trim plastic from slot per the first drawing below. fMight not hurt before removing bolt to scribe or otherwise mark original position just in case. Reinstall the bolt and then loosen the phillips head pivot screw on the inner side. Foglight can now be manually rotated up and down to desired position. Retighten bolt and screw, reinstall trim and done.

Not a great pic of the foglight with trim removed but hopefully will give you idea of where the pivot screw and adjusting bolt are at.

 

The picture that shows the location of the bolt and screw are in the wrong positons. The 10mm bolt is actually on the bottom, and the phillips screw is on the side. The slot that needs to be enlarged length wise towards the front is on the bottom. This enlargement is needed because the factory slot is not long enough to allow proper adjustment high enough to be past the point that cannot be seen from the drivers seat. The fog lights do no good if they shine below that line!

Mind do seem to shine too close to the front of the vehicle....

I have not driven in fog at night yet so I do not know how well they work then.

Is there a height vs. dist measurement they should meet?

 

I parked on a flat road at night. Turned on headlights only. Used chalk to mark the line where headlights first shine on the ground. Then got into car and figured where the line is that I can see over the dash on the ground. I marked that line on the ground. Then I covered the head lights with towels and turned on fog lights. This is after slotting the lower adj for more forward movement. I adjusted the fog lights to shine a little below the line that was made from looking over the dash. This gave a fare amount above that line so they are actually functional. I don't get blinked at by oncoming drivers so it must not be to high. I tried to do this on a wall and its pretty much impossible given the difuse beam of the fog light.
