Default short 12V DC adaptor

I just bought a 2008 CX-7, I'm having trouble plugging in stuff in the 12V adaptor next to the shift ****, seems to be too short, everything pops out. Does anybody know how to change the adapter? Thanks!

I don't have that issue. Everything I have used have worked.

It just is plugged into the hole in the console you could replace it with a deeper one I suppose.
