Default updated lower doors seals?

How can you tell if you have the latest ones? Is there a TSB or anything on them? A cost?

TIA

It is easy.

The old design is a simple flat piece of rubber projecting up from the rock guard at an angle. Just a flat piece of rubber. The problem was most did not ever touch the lower edge of the doors allowing noise, dirt and water to get inside.

The new ones are not flat. They have a tear drop cross section or blub shape in profile and now solidly seal against the doors lower edge.

There is no cost. If you have the old ones the TSB is covered under your warranty for free. Just take your car in and Mazda should swap them out for free. Schedule this as most dealers do not stock these parts and must order them from Mazda for your car and in my case one side came in within a few days. The other side took weeks.

But the revised design totally fixed the problem. One wonders how the poor original design ever past Q/A at mazda before the car was ever released for sale.
