2007 CX9 Heater Core
Anyone replace one of these? Trying to find out if its a "whole dashboard removal" job. Forum search yields zero results. Radiator less than 1 year old. Just flushed coolant system. Intermittently only heats at higher RPMs. Just did core replacement on F150 last summer. Not anxious to remove another dashboard. Thanks in advance.

When you did the flush did you remove both heater hoses and flush water thru the heater core? You may want to try this before attacking the dash.
Looking at the workshop manual, its not 100% clear, but to remove the AC unit it requires dash removal.

Just did basic flush letting engine warm up and therm open and let water run through system a few times. Even if I just flush the core, it will only be a temporary fix and will likely need to be replaced soon anyway. As long as it heats at driving RPMs, I'm OK with it until I get the parts and days off of work to get it done. Actually waiting on workshop manual I ordered a few days ago. Was hoping to get clarification from that. If access to A/C condenser requires dash removal, then it is likely required to access heater core. Thanks.
