Default 2008 CX-9 Navigation Screen Display Dim

Resolution is poor, and display is dim for our navigation screen. It is diplaying white, and with lights on I can use the dimmer button to invert the colors. At this time during reasonable daylit hours, I am unable to view the display and it is driving me crazy. Any ideas?

Not sure if this is the same as on my 2013 model. The command to change the dim for the navigation screen in on the settings screen..... on the navigation screen.... So, if you cannot see the screen and want to change the setting from Night to Day.... you are screwed because you will not be able to see it to be able to change anything. Unless you wait until the night or go inside your garage with the light off. One more of the multiple issues with this car, so simple to do right that it is amazing they did it WRONG!!!!!! Funny thing is that they do not want you to use the navigation system while driving hahaha and this is 1000 times worst as far as safety!

I had the same issue after I changed my battery. I thought it was an electrical issue, but I had accidentally pressed the dashboard dimmer ****. I didn’t even know it could be pressed. On my 2002, it’s to the left of the speedometer.
