2012 Mazda CX 9 Driver Power Window Grind
Hi All,
I just started hearing a loud grinding sound when I roll the drivers side window up. The grinding only occurs when the window has reached full travel (closed), not during the travel up. Doesn't making the grinding sound when the window goes down. The strange thing is that the auto up/down feature stopped working as well. I tried re-programming the switches but didn't help. The passenger side works as it should including the auto switch. I'm thinking that the regulator may be going but just can't figure how that affects the auto switch feature which until today worked well.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem with their CX 9.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi...
i had the very same issue with my CX-9 2012.
the window motor has gone and had to the replaced. For mine, which is Middle East/Gulf specs the part number is G22c-58-58XF, and costed me +/-USD60.
Hope it works on you.
On the other hand, when you replace the battery, to fix the auto function, you need to press down for 5-6 seconds until windows is completly down and vice-versa.This will reset the function.

edoinfl,
I have had the same issue with my 2011 Mazda CX9 GT for over a year now. In fact, it is now on both the front windows. I'm planning on opening up the panel to make sure it is a motor issue (as suggested by Grim_Reaper and Heritage Mazda above). The re-manufactured motor costs about $65-75 while the OEM one costs about $110. Both have lifetime warranty.

I have the same problem in my 2009. But I have this problem only when my engine is running. When I close my window in the battery position, I don't have any strange sounds when closing my window. So, do you guys still think it's the window regulator?
