Default 2013 cx9 no crank no start

I put the key in and turn it and it doesn't do anything. All the dash lights come on but no nothing. Every now and then I get lucky and it starts. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated

Need a little more information.

year ?
miles ?
transmission type?
resent service performed or the last services done?

Is there a check engine light?
When was the battery checked for health?

First:
1) using a diagnostic scanner connect to your OBDII diagnostic connector directly (NO BLUE TOOTH) and check for the following:
Current DTCs
Pending DTCs
State of Monitors

2) have your battery load tested
3) check and clean the battery terminal and cable at the battery
a) Disconnect the ground cable:
b) Check by removing and cleaning the ground cable at the chassis
c) Check by removing and cleaning the battery cable at the starter

Auto zone can check 1.,(only active and pending DTCs) and 2., at no charge, and you have several in Stockton!
You would if no engine start you will need to pull the battery yourself and take it to them. If the battery is not at least 12.5 volts they will need to charge it first to test. Make sure that the battery is at least at (NOT BELOW) 12.5 volts for testing!
