Default 2016 CX-9 Fuel Gauge

There is one thing that bothers me. The Distance-To-Empty shows "zero" when there are still more than 2 gallons in the tank, Does anyone have experienced that too?

Haven't noticed that on mine. What bothers me more is 2 tanks of gas now and I'm only getting ~16.5 MPG and I am not a lead foot. FYI this is all city driving but Mazda says it should be ~22 MPG. I regularly get ~26 MPG in my 2014 Mazda 6 all city driving.

I do about 70% city/30 % Highway and got an average of 21.5 mpg so far over the last 1,300 mls (calculated and per dashboard). All with the A/C on, so I am pretty happy, especially coming from the GM world.

I drive around town on local roads most on the time (central NJ) and I get over 25 mpg with my CX-9 GT AWD. I constantly have better mpg at the pump than the trip computer by 0.5 - 1 mpg.

Try a different gas brand. My 2010 Mazda 3 gives the best mpg with speed way and poor gas mileage with Shell. My guess is Shell has a lot of additives.

Are you using premium or regular. I would assume that since premium provides more hp, perhaps your foot calibration changes?
