Default Changing spark plugs 2008 mazda CX-9

Need step by step procedures on how to change the spark plugs on my 2008 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring. I refused to pay the costs from the dealer.

No one has replied. Dealer wants around $300 to do this job. I changed the plugs and timing belt in my Kia Sorento but I thaven't touched my wife's Mazda CX-9. She is worried about the warranty rather than saving some money.

You may want to call your dealer that you would normally bring it to and ask if it would void your warranty. Some places are stricter than others, so you would want to be sure your not voiding your warranty.
I sent you an email with instructions just in case.

Unless your wife has some huge mileage on the car, you shouldn't need plugs.
My manual states a 75k mile change and when I did them (@ 65k,) they looked perfectly normal.... like they would easily go another 30k.

Modern plugs, and the engines they go in, are nothing like what they used to be. Gone are the days of 5-10k spark plug changes.

+1, Agree. Drivetrain warranty I believe is 5 years or 60,000 miles. If under that, no need.

My 08 is at 75K, so time to change plugs. Anybody got instructions? Thanks in advance.

Default spark plug replacement CX-9

I just got a quote from a dealer to replace the spark plugs on my 2008 CX-9 for $501!!! The car runs fine and I'm still getting 19-20mpg so I really see no need for replacing the plugs.

How many miles do you have on your CX-9?
