Default CX-9 Liftgate will not open either manually or electronically

My CX-9 ‘10 Grand Touring rear gate with powerlift does not unlock after replacing battery. It opens from inside only using the emergency lever (which took me a while to find).

1. It does not open manually from the center handle.
2. It does not open with the right button on the rear door
3. It does not open with either of the two remotes
4. It does not open from driver sit button nor when unlocking all doors

It is not unlocking, when pressing “unlock” you hear the beeping but not any unlocking on that door. No noise or movement on the lock.

It looks I created the problem leaving the back open
while replacing the battery. The manual on page
3-36 sets a process for reset it the power lift but I followed and it is not working. Also it is not clear if this is for the lock or power-lift of if both are together.

I opened the door through emergency latch on the inside!!! (pic is a little Black lever behind the blue cable) and oiled with DW-40 still does not open when I try with the buttons or remote. I am not talking about the hydraulic not working (which in my car broke and hasn’t worked for years) I am talking about simply the rear lock.

i am starting by replacing the Liftgate fuse, which seems fine, once I do will report.

Any suggestions.

any ideas are appreciated.

You will need to electronically test the lock actuator.

Fixed! It looks that I had a blown fuse. I replaced the fuse and all is good now.
