Uneven tread wear at 30,000 miles
Here's my issue. I went to have my oil changed and tires rotated today. I was informed at WalMart that they could not rotate my tires because there was less than 3/32" of tread left on the driver's front and rear tires. I have had my 2007 CX-9 Grand Touring model in to Mazda to have it aligned more than once as it has always pulled to the left. The service manager is aware of this as he actually told me at my initial servicing/inspection after I bought the car that they all had been pulling to the left. Is there any recourse for the uneven wear on my tires since I'm not out of warranty yet? I realize they are a wear item, however, I should not have to be replacing them this soon, especially when the excessive wear is on the left only.
(and yes, I realize I have quotation marks instead of apostrophes. That's the way the forum is displaying my apostrophes.)

RE: Uneven tread wear at 30,000 miles
i seriously doubt that the dealership will do anything about it, but yes, it would be the right thing for them to do. i would go to the dealership and explain the issue to see exactly what they are going to say and don't let them do the next alignment if they aren't going to replace the tires under warranty. if they do replace them under warranty and do an alignment, go to another shop and have them check back over the work. might not be the alignment, though. it could be the camber or the tow.

There is at least one TSB on the pulling left issue. It's been a few monthstry taking it in again.
In terms of 30,000 miles on your tires and you're just now having to replace themthat's DAMN good for the OEM tires that come on CX-9's (and on a lot of the newer Mazdas for that matter). Most of the tires that are put on these new Mazdas at the factory will stick to the road okay, but have a very low tread life. I see a lot of people coming in needing tires around 20,000, and some people even at less than that. Kudos on making them last that long.
