Im having trouble with the ignition, is it the battery??
I just got my miata a few days back, when I got it the car was not easy starting, but it did, so I parked it over night, and the next day I tried to start it, and the only thing that happened was that the dashboard icon lights and the radio shut off (for the time of trying to ignite). I really am not sure what to do, I tried charging it yesterday morning, and left it till this morning, and nothing happened, the previous owner said he got it in February, but one time he left the lights on over night.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

1. Get your battery load tested and charged properly; you can have perfectly good voltages, but if internal connections have deteriorated this will make the terminal volts go way down under heavy load.
2. Go over your battery connectors make sure they're clean and give good connection to the battery posts.
3. Make sure your chassis and engine ground connections are clean and making good connection. The main chassis ground is on top of the right suspension tower, just ahead of the wiper motor. The main engine block ground is on one of the engine mount bolts on the passenger's side.
4. It is normal to momentarily lose non-essential accessories while engine is being cranked.
5. If the battery and wiring are not the cause of difficult starting, you'd better find the cause; otherwise you're just going to get more grief.
6. Leaving the lights on and flattening the battery will not harm it provided it is not left in a discharged state for a long period (a month say).
