I heard that the miatas in australlia have the decal in the back that just says 'MX-5' wheras the american miatas have 'Miata, then under it is a small MX-5" and then in japan it just says "Roadster" in the cursive miatish font. I was wondering if anyone knew how i can get a hold of the austallian 'MX-5' decal so i can pop that Miata decal and put what the car should be really known as, an MX-5, i understand Mazda has started calling it the MX-5 as of 2006 models but i just wanted to get that Miata name out of the car, it has potential and alot of people are ignorant just because of the name. So does anyone know where i can get one???

 

If you get a chance to get out to a dealer then look at the rear MX-5 emblem on the new 06's. Might be what you are looking for. It is just a little larger then the Miata emblem on rear of older cars so would cover up where old one was easily. It even sticks on with double sided tape so you would not have to drill any new mount holes for it. Can get thru dealer with part #NF79-51-721 and retails for $15.55.

 

kewl i might look into that, but the one im really looking for is the oldschool kinda like the one i already have except it just says MX-5 on it, its in like a rectangle with circled corners you know what im talking about? i wish i had a picture to post up ima go look for one...

 

i was able to special order one from the local mazda dealership, do you guys think its poser-like to put a mx-5 decal on a 99??? imo i think its not posing because it is afterall dubbed an mx-5 am i right or what?
