trunk release problem
I have a 2010 Miata. The trunk release on the console does not work. You push the release button and nothing happens. The release on the key fob works. Is there a fuse for that button?

Trunk release "problem"
2009 MX-5 retactable hardtop:
The button underneath the dash would not open the trunk. I was unsuccessful at removing the switch to test it. But.... RTFM!:
There is a security (evidently) button switch in the trunk itself that disables the dash button. It is described accurately in the owner's manual, and is labeled on the button, itself. The button is on the inside of the aft side of the trunk compartment, unseen unless one pokes one's head inside the trunk, and is all black so easily overlooked. The button is a push-push operation: push to enable, push again to disable! Conceivably, moving trunk contents around could toggle it!
I seem to recall finding the button many years ago, but I did not recall it's presence when I recently experienced the "non-functioning" of the driver cockpit side dash button, and so have spend a lot of time trying to diagnose the "problem."

Awesome
That was it! Thanks, as I had not seen that button before.
