How are you doing guys...im currently throwing four codes right now and i need some opinions on what to do! I got a p0300 (random misfire),po306 cylinder 6 misfire,and i forgot the code i think it po402 but i know its the egr vavle, and another one that im not sure of the code but it a catalyst flow below normal...i since then removed the throttle body and cleaned the 2 small ports of all the carbon and there was lots and also pulled out the egr and cleaned that as well thinkin it might help but nothing...it was hard to believe that the egr would go bad out of no where, but my engine light came on when one night i floored it and right when i let off the codes where thrown...im at a road block cause i dont want to buy a 260 dollar egr when its not the problem! any help would be great thanks

 

I would attack the misfire problem first but a misfire can cause converter damage and there is a flow circuit for the EGR that runs through the intake that could also be clogged. If the converter is partially restricted it could cause all those codes.

 

thanks for the reply hikks, how would i go about this situation...i checked all my plugs and they seem a little worn but nothing major...i have brand new plugs on there...i think this all started when i changed my rotor and distributor cap and i put a hole in my intake tubing by mistake cause i remove it to have more room to work and i did not know that i put a tear in it so it was sucking in air after the mas sensor and it threw a code....well i got new tubing and put it on and it drove great and the code went away, well i floored it one day and then all these code just pop up out of no where, thats why im at a loss on what happened and whats the main problem
