Does anyone know the size of this bearing? 18we4

the tension pulley bearing is 17x40x12 and can be bought at napa or autozone...napa 15.00 autozone 6.00

any help would be great..mazda wants 53.00 for this bearing and i know it should be able to be cross referenced

I'm going to answer my own question...

Well, here is the info if you guys need it..

The bearing in the vacuum pump is an NSK B17-116DG
The dimensions are 17x52x18 mm...

Mazda gets 53.00 for this bearing..and it has been hard to find one much cheaper...

This bearing is also used in Mitsubishi alternators..

NSK America does not recognize this number any longer...but they still make a bearing with exactly the same dimensions with a different number...

I spoke with American Alternator here in Chattanooga,Tn and they can get the bearing for 45.00

I spoke with a rep for Impact Bearings and he feels he can get the bearing for about 25.00..of course shipping would have to be added..

NAPA can get the bearing also..at 98.00

So lets see if Impact can come through on their speech...

Here's the follow up on the Vacuum Pump..

I ended up getting the bearing from American Alternator here in Chattanooga..Cost was 40.00

I cleaned up everything in the Pump and put it back together..no seals or o-rings looked to be bad..Cleaned up with de-natured alcohol and relubed all the seals and o-rings with castor oil..

Works great and and a lot cheaper than 400.00 for the pump!
