ABS diagnostic connector, 97 2.5L
Hello everyone, again. I have the problem traced down to the valve body on the ABS unit. It will not allow any fluid to the pass. side front wheel. A Mazda mechanic told me there is an underhood black box marked diagnostic and to test the ABS system and maybe retract the stuck valve to put a umper between the TBS connector and the GND. connector, then a few more steps from inside the car. I found the connector, it is against the firewall on the drivers side. The previous owner had put the alarm horn on top of it. There are about 10 connectors and none marked. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHICH IS THE TBS LEAD? I imagine I can ground it anywhere. Please someone help. I have the first post about 4 or 5 down from here.
Thank You to all,
Richard

if you send me your email, i can send you a scan of the diagnostic connector page from my 99 wiring diagrams. it shows the position of the tbs. i cannot get the file uploaded to this site, it is too large, and i dont know how to compress it.

RE: ABS diagnostic connector, 97 2.5L
Hi Keninn, Thank You for taking the time to help me. It appears to be the
ABS valve block is not allowing fluid to the passenger side front wheel. I
checked online at some yards and they all wanted $1,000 plus shipping plus I
would have to find labor to install it. I recently had open heart surgery and
when I tried to get to the ABS pump/valve body I was in a lot of pain. Anyway,
here ya go. _dalk01@aol.com_ (mailto:dalk01@aol.com)
Thank's Again,

have you tried pulling the abs relay or fuse? maybe disconnecting the ground to the battery might reset the control unit. heck, pull the abs control unit, too. i just cant believe the servo is stuck. maybe even a good whack with a hammer?
