Hey all, Need some help here. I have a 97 2.3 miller cycle. Over the last few weeks it has began to give me an irratic idle as well as shutting off when turning (low rpm turns) My initial responce was the idle air module. I ordered one, got it home went to install it, and it was wrong, so I cleaned my old one through and through, once reinstalled the same problem still occurs, but It is also bogging down at15-18k rpms now in 1st and 2nd hear. Very similar to an engine computers "limp mode" yet when I shift to nuetral idle is regained and smooth. When under torque, it boggs again. the bogging down is unpredictable.
I have anothe OE idle air valve on the way, but real curious if its the right direction for the problem, I hate to throw 600.00 down the drain for this if something else is common.
