engine light on
Halo,
I'm new here and I'm very glad that I found out about this site because I do have a headache about my car right now, I've got Mazda millionea (SW), 2000. I do believe that you would have called it "Sport edition". The engine light came on and it started choking like it was drawning or something. I had my mechanic checked the light which said " Missed fire No. 2". He checked in detail and telling me that I have to change to fuel injector NO. 2 because it was plug up. I ordered the part from Hiroshima, he put it in for me and here we goes again, the light came back.
Does anybody have any idea what is going on right now? I will appreciate it so much, I paid a fortune for shipping and parts plus labor. This is the first time of me for Mazda, I've heard about it that why I wanted to give it a shot. Thank you very much. You can email me at tiddang@yahoo.com. Thanks.

RE: engine light on
what engine? a bad fuel injector is really rare. way more common is plugs/wires(2.5 NA), or plugs/coil(2.3 MC). actually, this is the first time i have ever heard of a fuel injector being changed on a millenia.

RE: engine light on
I agree that the owners manual says to go to a Mazda dealer for diagnosis when the light comes on. I am trying to avoid the hassle if at all possible as the dealer requires an appointment ahead of time, loss of the car for a day and $90.00 just to tell me what the problem is. I am wondering ifsomeone on this list knows of a way for me to reset the engine light myself, if itcomes back on after its reset....I am off to the dealer.
Thanks
Thanks
