Have a 2002 Milly 2.5L Car has 70k and stalling during idle and when placed in gear. Will start right up and drive normal. There is no CEL light so can't pull any codes. Has anyone had similar issues?
Just replaced distributor, cap, rotor. Checked plug holes for oil and they are dry. Wires and plugs about 1yr old. Just replace fuel filter today. I've even adjusted the idle but still stalling, usually once it's warmed up to normal operating temp. Any suggestions?

Ok, CEL finally came on. Received code: P0505, which is the idle air control valve (IACV) mounted on the intake. Purchased can of Sea Foam deep clean and will remove IACV and clean this weekend along with spraying throttle body/intake area. If this doesn't fix the problem, will have to suck it up and purchase the $432 IACV from dealer along with the $32 gasket. I've already check for vacuum leaks and none so far. Remind me again why I purchased foreign?

Ok, so I just replaced the idle air control valve on my 2002 2.5L milly. After reaching normal operating temp car is still stalling during idle especially when in gear. I had CEL code erased afer iacv was replaced and CEL has not return. Right before car will stall I can hear a "whoosh" sound like the air is being cut off. I've read on other threads that the yellow relay under the hood controls the ECU and may be bad. Going to call Mazda dealer on Monday and order one. If this fails I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
