Noise from firewall - 99 2.5l strange
So I go get a bottle of wine and get in the car and get back in my driveway and turn the car off. I hear a noise like a fan running but it's 38 degrees outside and I've only been a half mile and back and it's not inside the car. It's dark and I open the hood and I can hear the noise and it's coming from the firewall, yes behind the engine, sounds like a fan of somekind, the car is turned off. I get a flash light and can't see poop and don't know what I'm looking for anyway, something making noise. So I open up the fuse box right there over the drivers wheel and start pulling fuses one at a time until the noise stops. Pulling the ABS fuse stops the noise. That left me with a couple questions. What is in the ABS that would make a noise like a fan running? And most importantly with the ignition off?? And why would an ABS system need a 60 amp fuse? That's a lot of current for a little computer and a servo of some sorts. Seems like I may have a potential fire brewing with this thing. Or at least a dead battery.
