Just figured I would let some people know whats going on with my ride! Second trip to a different mazda technician! He called the Mazda Tech line after about an hour trying to figure out the problem and they said that it is common for the timing belts to stretch while running but all the timing marks to be lined up when on top dead center. So he removed the bolt on the cam sensor and rotated it counter clock wise and now my car runs great! I still have the code 17 and the TCS Off light on which I am hoping with a new timing belt will disappear! Hope this will help someone!

Well....we gave up. After $3K on a new engine and S/C plus allother new stuff, we traded it for $2K. Nobody could make this car run over 2500 RPM after warm up. The whole ordeal sucks. I plan on selling my 2006 Rx8 shortly after the 50K warranty. It's got 5K now so I'll have fun for a while. Good luck on your MilleniaS!

Just figured I would keep some people up to date on my ride! Changed the timing belt and now the car purrs like a kitten! No more stumbleing or stalling, but the TCS OFF light is still on!One thing at a time folks! I also ended up putting a reman Supercharger from PSE on the car due to it leaking oil onto the water pump, which in return caused the timming belt to fail! I have been posting this infomation on here, hoping that it will help somebody out there with similiar problems! Peace out my people!

Hi 2000smazda. Great to see you are still posting. Yes, please keep us all posted on your progress, I have very similar issues with my 1995 Milli 2.5L (126k miles). I have not done anything yet as I am hoping to find some good answers somewhere online. There are so many odd (and expensive) things that seem to be related. This is a great thread you have going here.

The good folks at Mazda here in Indy had mine for about a week and reported to me that I needed new plugs, wires, rotor, etc. as well as a new throttle body. I think they said the TB started going bad and fouled out the ignition components. Has this diagonsis ever been given to you?

No! Sorry the Millenia S has no distributor or plug wires, justa seperate coil on each spark plug for a $132 ea. Alot of the symptoms will lead alot of people to think of a vacum leak, but my case is not that simple.
