Why cant my P1000 be deleted on my 95 2.3L

 

P1000 cannot be delected because it is just an indication that all of the system self tests have not yet been run or completed. Code is not indicating any kind of malfunction. During the course of normal in town and freeway driving the engine computer will begin to run self tests on systems such as the oxygen sensors and heaters, evaporative emissions, catalytic converter and EGR. Once the right driving conditions have been met and all self tests have been performed and passed then the P1000 code will go away by itself. No other way to get rid of it.
