Default Slight popping noise

When I turn right I can hear a very slight popping noise coming from the driver front side wheel, its not very loud and sometimes can't be heard. Milly is a 96 with 61,000 miles, any ideas?

Let me rephrase ($60.00 is cheap) my question. To have a dealer fix this problem what would you estimate the cost to be?

I would not throw axles at it just yet. There are plenty of other things that go pop. If you mean a repetitive clicking on turns under accel then probably axles, but mounts and suspension noises abound on those so verify before you buy. Dealers usually replace the outer joint if thats whats wrong. A complete axle at the dealer would be $500+.Not counting labor.

where do you get your parts at? i just checked online, a reman mazda axle is 131 bucks. 85.00 core charge, discounted price like 98 bucks. are we talking about the same thing? a dealer aint gonna change the outer joint, they will throw a reman axle at it, and be done. however, oreilly auto parts uses the same rebuilder(cardone) that mazda does, they cost 60 bucks there, lifetime guarantee. and, having owned 2 cars for the last 8 years, i can guarantee you the millenia needed axles. and, if you read the question, a slight popping noise when turning, classic cv joint symptoms. but hey, whatever floats yer boat. i'm done here. both of our cars work perfectly.

Thanks for the response from both of you..............the popping noise almost sounds like a deep rattle than can only be heard with the windows up and the radio off, not oud at all but noticeable.

So it seems as though you were me O'Rieleys would be a good place to have it inspected and possibly fixed. How long can you drive it before you damage something?
