My 2000 MPV 6-disk CD player died in the cold.. You can still load CD’s but you get an error code when you try to play them. Does anyone know if this can be fixed? Will a used 2001-2004 MPV CD player fit in its place?

2000 and 2001 audio units would be compatible. 2002 model year adopted a modular audio system which allows for upgrading the audio without replacement of entire unit. Electrical connector is different for the new modular audio so would not work for 2000-01.
