Question 91 Mazda MPV Leaking Antifreeze, HELP!!!

My 91 Mazda MPV is leaking antifreeze from the bottom of the engine. Had a shop look at it and he reported that somewhere above the starter and below the engine manifold is a hose and he cant get to it or even knows where it is. He also said that if he started looking it could cost me.....

What I need is a diagram of all the cooling system hoses in out out the engine. My manual does not show nothing I need.

Can anyone help me out.

1991 Mazda MPV
Automatic
V6, 3.0

Sounds like a heater hose is leaking, usually one starts at the water pump and the other starts at one of the cylinder heads, follow the one leaving the water pump (if its there) and see where it goes, that should get you close if I cant find any more info.

Default Found the leaking hose hidden above the starter!

Wanted to thank you again, I found the leaking hose. I had to remove the starter to R&R the hose. Unfortunately, with all the antifreeze leaking on the starter, it has stopped working and the hammer trick don't work any more. , Putting back on my greasy jumpsuit ...

Thanks again for your help...

crawl under your van, drivers side and check the two cooling lines that go from the engine to the rear heat/ac. they're a well known issue with Mazda for cracking & leaking.

I repaired mine by cutting both lines with a dremel, and clamping in 2 x 6" pieces of heater hose. Replacing the parts from Mazda Canada they wanted $500 for both lines.
