Default RE: In Need of Alternator Help Please!!

Lots of luck. I posted for info on removing the alternator on my 2000 MPV and received no replies. I finally gave up and took it to the mechanic. Best move I've made lately. He had to remove a frame member and drop the transaxle to remove the alternator. Over$200 labor. Be sure to have him check the wires. Mine had shorted together which burned the original, and his replacement (on his dime). Just a thought, if you have to cut the bolt to remove it you will most likely not be able to replace it. Again, Good Luck.
