Default Vehicle Speed Sensor P0720

Afternoon, my check engine light came on recently which I discovered to be the VSS. I have purchased a replacement part but I am completely unable to find where exactly the part is to replace. All videos/ manuals I have sourced tells me it’s on the transmission box but nothing that’s currently there looks like the part to replace. Can anybody help?? 03 Mazda 3.0L

I'm not familiar with MPV as they haven't been sold in my market for a long time.

Making the assumption that the engine & drive train is similar to a tribute of same age, there are two speed sensors, Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor & Output Shaft Speed Sensor (P0720), are you sure you have the correct sensor?

I don't have any decent pictures or diagrams for you.

Or I could be completely wrong, & vehicle uses the ABS wheel speed sensors.

Speed sensor is located under the air breather box. You have to remove the battery along with the air breather box. Under those you will find a 2 wire plug on the top side of the tranny. That will be the speed sensor, it has one 10mm bolt in it.
