'92 MX3 MAIN FUSE question
I'm brand new here and hoping someone can help. I'm looking at buying a 1992 MX3 V6 5 speed that's in pretty decent shape, but has been sitting for 6 months. Battery is completely dead, but even with my 'booster pack' hooked up still got nothing except headlites. I checked the fuse box next to the battery and sure enough found the 100 amp main fuse blown. I'm going to see if Napa has the fuse and go back over there and see if I can get the car to start before I make the guy an offer. My question is this; While I know the fuse is blown, is there an inherent problem with these cars blowing the main fuse?I don't know much about Mazdas and the car is for a friend who's desperately in need of a reliable car; I don't want to buy into a 'problem child' that has electrical problems and my friend doesn't have any money to put into a car right now. I figure it's probably just because the car is 15 years old and the fuse blew, but if there is a known or recurring problem with these I'm hoping someone will clue me in. I'm going back this afternoon so hopefully someone can respond soon.
THANKS!

Sorry for the late reply but I just found this forum
woow Main Fuse blow: i think someone has had the mass cable to the + cable else it normaly DON't blow.
If you put a new fuse in and you try to start and it blows again, let the car stands there, it has a big problem with the electric.
