Default dirt racing?

hello. i was wundering if you guys could help me out ?
im planing on racing my mazda mx3 v6 5 speed at the local dirt track in 2 weeks. its been striped of all its intirior exaust glass and other nonneeded items. this is the first time iv ever used a car like this and was wondering what i might expect from it for speed and reliability? the race is 200 laps on a 1/3 mile track with about 100 other cars from chevettes to caddys. so i will have to rely on speed to stay out of the bigger cars way. i was just hopping you could give me a few tips and triocks on whatr i might expect from this car? thanks for your help.

Default RE: dirt racing?

yeah pick up a probe gt or mx6 v6 vaf and ecu - 400$-500$-bolts right in but use the stock mx3gs flywheel(lighter), remove the cat, gut the muffler, definatly cold air intake with removed front left head light20$(pvc piping even),strut tower braces, coil overs adj(height)stiffer or springs, completely gut it remove or replace rear window with lexan or sumthin lighter, headers, bored throttle body, klze cams intake manifold, pheno spacers, under drive pulley, since no emissions egr block off plate(makee urself)chip the ecu. most of these mods r good for the stock k8 but up here in canda the klo3 2.5v6s r going for 250 sometimes(best mod)128hp-164hp-200hp(j-spec klze) no other mods will do that for ya. just get the most power least weight u can, grippy *** tires, stiffen body a bit. lots off cheap mods available to do for a dirt car
