well, i have a mx-3 1.8 v6. it's not too powerful for normal driving, but if you press the gas padel up to redline, that would be so much fun. bought the car up to 60mph in 2nd gear, and 80 in 3rd gear

i don't mind the 4 cyl. as long as its a manuel. i've got a 94 with just an intake and exhaust and i've out run plenty of acura integras.

it mostly depends on the driver if the cars are at least similar in power

Default 1994 mx3 GS 1.8L V6 for sale

Selling my mx3 I have owned since 1996 and am 2nd owner. I bought the car with 10k miles on it and it currently has 152k miles on it. Interior is in great shape, all new pads, calipers, rotors and lines, headliner. Red exterior, Niche Shock 16" wheels, Momo steering wheel and shift ****, car cover. Runs great! Always cared for and simply do not drive it. Preparing to put clutch in it, simply to tighten it up a bit to start driving it more and ready to plasty dip body and wheels. Probably will need tires. Before I put clutch in it for myself, simply wanted to offer it for sale because someone may want to go all the way with this great, fun car and do engine swap for more power. Let me know if any interest, then I will decide if I follow through or not on my plans of making it my work commuter car or not. Thanks in advance.
