Good deal on it being manual! No worry on typical auto issues.
First thing I'd suggest you check is the intake hose that runs from air filter housing to the throttle body. These tend to crack in the ribbing (some call it accordion tube) and cause a lot of trouble. You don't have to remove it, just feel around it, flex it a little, and take a close look at what you can see of it. Any cracks will be visible or felt.
While my brother was driving mine, small cracks turned into big cracks and one morning, the car wouldn't even start. I removed it and sealed up the cracks with duct tape (a common 'quick fix') and it started and ran fine afterwards, even improved the gas mileage.
Take a look at all the vacuum hoses while you're under the hood.

Since your new car is low mileage, I'd suggest following routine maintenance.
I got mine at 113k, over 180k now with that intake re-taped (last time I used silicone in the cracks before taping) and had to replace a few cooling hoses (upper radiator and hoses for oil cooler).
