A Durotec 2.5?
The site that I saw when researching MX3's for another member stated that because these haven't been built for a while, performance parts are very hard to come by.
It may be time for you to get creative.
i.e. (sorry to those that haveread this before.'Don't mean to bore you.) My 1980 Civic HB which I owned from '87-'95. I had virtually no money for mods, but upon researching a bit, I discovered that some parts from the Civic station wagon,Accords andPreludes would fit with little or no modification. So I... 1)Had Station wagon brakes 2) seats and console from an '85 Accord 3) 4 spoke steering wheel and shifter from a Prelude 5) Air filter housing from a BMW 2002 (modified) 6) An instrument cluster w/mechanical tach from a GI model7) A Prelude front sway bar 8) a home modified distributor and carburetor And 9) at different times it had various wheel/tire combinations from VW alloys toRenault steelies as well as other Honda wheels and tires on it.
The only new parts I bought were a set of Kokico shocks/struts, a J.C.Whitney rear sway bar(a cheapie, I forget the actual brand name, but it worked!) and a mild camshaft.
With a need for speed and a little research, you may be able to accomplish the same, so don't give up, OK?
