Default 00 Protege Strut Mount orientation

I change my front struts this weekend and unfortunately noticed that little white dot on the upper strut mount a little too late. Can someone be kind enough to tell me which direction that white dots is supposed to be facing? My car is the early 2000 with the 1.6L. For some reason after 7/00 the struts are different. Thanks.

Acutally there are 4 studs on the strut mount and the hole for the strut is not in the center. The hole for the strut is furthest from the side of the mount with the white dot. If it is mis-oreinted, the camber and/or caster will be off. I've settled on the white dot rear and inward. Outward gave too much negative caster. I'm not having wondering problems so caster must be OK.

Can anyone confirm the rear inward position of the white dot on a 00 1.6L??

i really have no idea. usually, i install my own suspension parts and take it to the shop to get the caster/camber/toe checked. that has worked out to be the cheapest and most effective way of doing it. i would recommend doing that honestly.

checked my 2000 ES. the dots are on the outside/rear. i do not see any offset of the centerbolt from the 4 perimeter bolts. looks centered to me.
