need help with 02 Protege Mazdaspeed LSD replacement.
The car has the 2000CC engine + 5speed.

Q1: SHIM .. how much should I shim? how do I know? was thinking I'd just use 1 halfway between all the available shims ... unless someone here has a suggestion?

Q2: BALL + SPRING .. when I pulled the tranny apart a magnet (found where that goes) and a steel ball & spring fell out. I think it goes someplace near the magnet (parts diagram is little to no help). What is the purpose of these two items (I think it has to do with 5th/reverse?) & how do I install them.

This is for the race car in my album .. I plan on installing new bearings & speedgear (although car does not use the speedgear).
