I am new here and am looking for some help. I have a 2003 Mazda Protege 5 and it has just reached 109,000 miles. For about a year now I have been having trouble starting it. I have to literlly "jam" my shifter into park and hold it with my left hand while I start my car with my right hand. I also have had 2 bent wheels in the past 9 months. Just like most people, I try to avoid the potholes, with the understanding that you can't miss them all. I was wondering if anyone has had any similar problems.

i have had this problem on other cars. it is the neutral safety switch that is going out or is just mis-placed slightly.
