Default 1999 LX-audio question

I have a 99 Protege LX and I'm thinking of upgrading the system. My stock system has a tuner/cd and a tape deck. I"m thinking of buying a Kenwood double-din unit with Sirius in it. Will that fit my dash once I remove the head unit, and tape player?
Also, my car has 4 speakers, but the rear doors ahve holes for additional speakers. Any ideas on adding a set of speakers, for a total of 6? I know I will need an amp.

Finally, I want some bass but I don't want to compromise trunk space with a sub box/tube. Any ideas on where I can put a small box or tube other than my trunk? I'm thinking under the backseat maybe?

Any input is appreciated. If you are familiar with the Kenwood systems, let me know as well. peace.
