2000 Protege DX door trim, molding
You know that black strip that runs horizontally along thedoors? I'm not sure what it's called, theguard so you don't get door-dinged in the parking lot.Is that attached with pins, screws, or tape? I want to paint mine white to match the car. Thanks for any info. I just discovered this site. Looks pretty sweet.

Probably just taped on. Most cars these days, including my own,HAD taped molding on them.
Try the fishing line/dental floss trick and see what you can see. Now that you live in Arizona you should not have a hard time finding a sunny, warm day.
Frankly, Frank, I would just do a molding delete. They are practically useless anyway. The ones on my 3 were too low for most cars, trucks, SUV's out there. The car looks so much cleaner w/o them.

I used WD-40 'cause that's what I had, but many use Goo-Gone too.Either will work. A dry finger can help loosen it along w/the chemical of your choice.
Just don't forget to wash and wax the area thoroughly after.
