Default Automatic door lock

Hi,

My 99 Protege rear driver side door lock is not working with the remote key or with the main automatic lock. All other locks are working fine. This one is making some "blurrrrrrrrr " noise but is not locking/unlocking. I have to do it manually with the push/pull button.

Is the problem serious? Is there anyway that I can fix it myself? If I have to take it to the mechanic, how much would it cost?

Please let me know,

thanks
Ven

doesn't sound that serious. probably just an actuator that can be swapped out. have to pull the door panel though.
