Chiltons for Protoge 03
I'm looking for a chiltons or haynes for a 2003 mazda protoge. The best I can find is a 1998. There must be one for the 2003 so either the 98 has the same body type or the 2003 is some other body type under a different model name.
Any ideas?

Don't bother, Chilton's are useless. Too vague to be of any good. Spend the money, go to the dealer and get a mazda shop manual with the wiring diagram. It will save you thousands over the life of the car.

Chiltons are hardly useless, although they can be vauge, they provide plenty of valuable information. the factory manuals is much superior, but also fairly expensive, and if your not much of a mechanic, save your money.
I dont belive they make a chiltons / haynes for the 03 protege, as i have been looking myself. if you find one, let me know...

As far as I know, Chilton hasn't published a manual for the 03 Protege yet. MazdaES in right though about the shop manual. It will cost you about $170, but save in long run. I have an 03 Protege and have the 02 manual in PDF. These normally are only available to Mazda Motorsports (racers) members and you can't become a member unless you can show evidence that you actually are involved in racing. I sent a message to Mazda suggesting that they sell there manuals as PDFs on CDs for less than hardcopy, but don't know if they will do this at some point. Would be nice.

I found a free copy of the 02 PDF on the web and downloaded it. Works great for my 03 ES.
You should be able to download it directly from mazda for $19.95, along with whatever else you can downlaod in 24 hours that you might be interested in.
