Default clunking under deceleration

MY 03 protege recently would not engage into park, but has since fixed itself, but about 2 weeks after this problem there is a new one and there is a clunking or rattling that happens during deceleration. It seems to disappear when i get under 10 mph, but happens progressively worse with speed. The sound doesnt change when im turning hard or anything except when under deceleration. Any one had this problem that could help me out?

This could be related to engine mounts. I recall their being problematic. This could also affect the linkage between the shifter and the transmission, explaining the shifting issue too.

Mounts look to be in good shape.

Yes: your exhaust system suspension and heat shield hardware, although they don't correlate with your shifting difficulty.

its not from other parts hitting it, already check all that out. The noise also stays the same when i am coasting and put it into neutral. Could it be the cv shaft?
