Default door open warning light

Hi,

I have a problem with my 2002 Protege. The warning light indicating that one of my doors is open keeps going on. I know my doors are all closed, and the light usually comes on in the middle of driving, long after I've closed my door, so it can't be that the door is actually open. When I tug on the driver door handle just slightly, the light will go off. It will then come back on again until I tug the door again. It seems the driver door is the culprit, and I got the latch/sensor replaced, but that didn't do the trick. It's driving me nuts! [:@] Has anyone had this problem??

Thanks!

sounds like there might be a short in the wiring either inline of the sensor, or in the dash. Check those out and hopefully it will fix the problem.
